If someone offers to help you

• If someone approaches you with an offer of help, speak to them through a closed window unless you are certain it is the police or a breakdown organisation
• Make a note of the car registration numbers of any people who are offering help
• If you are on the telephone to someone, let them know the registration numbers and tell the person who has stopped that you have done so
