Mature motorists wanted

Goodyear is looking for mature motorists to prove that performance really can improve with age.

To coincide with the launch of OptiGrip - a revolutionary new tyre which delivers exceptional performance over time - we're appealing for older drivers to show how their driving performance has developed over the years. Our successful applicants will take part in a unique task which aims to dispel the myths commonly associated with older road users.

Anna Stanley, spokesperson for Goodyear said: "Mature motorists are frequently criticised for their driving. However, it's often these drivers with many years of experience that are able to react well and keep their cool in difficult situations.

"In developing the OptiGrip tyre, we've been able to offer motorists outstanding performance throughout the lifetime of their tyres, ensuring that safety is never compromised.

"We're therefore looking for older drivers who feel that they're as good as the day they passed their test - if not better. We want to prove that it's not just our tyres that continue to perform over time."

Successful applicants will be invited to a driving day where they'll undertake different challenges to assess their reflexes and responses. We'll then find the best mature driver, who'll win a set of OptiGrip tyres for their own vehicle.
