Testers' Profiles'
In March we started a search for three consumer champions to become official tyre testers - as well as national commentators on road safety issues. The selected drivers would see their cars fitted with complimentary sets of Goodyear's wet weather specialist HydraGrip tyres to pen consumer reviews for MyGoodyear.

About Ken
Hi my name is Kenny Bell, a nearly 50 year old living in a quiet country village near to Dundee with my wife, 2 grown up kids and the dog. I am a police officer working in City centre of Dundee and have been doing that for the past 22 years. Not that long till I can retire!
I am not a sporty person other that that those that allow me to sit down and watch. I mainly interested in all sorts of motor sport; Formula 1, Rallying, Touring Cars and of course motor cycles. My hobbies include hill walking, TV watching and music, mainly 70's and 80's rock.
…about the car
At present there are five cars in the family two of which are mine, the everyday family car Audi A6 Avant 2.5D Quattro and my male menopause Ford Capri 2.0 Laser. I used to be a biker (Suzuki DR 650), but gave that up when I bought the Capri. I still have the bike and maybe one day it will again see the light of day.

Hi my name is Alex South and I'm an RAF Squadron leader. I am a keen cricketer and besides this enjoy keeping fit (running primarily - I am doing the Great South Run in Oct 08), music (I recently re-lived my teenage years when I went to see Def Leppard and Whitesnake at Wembley - fantastic). I also play football and am a keen supporter of Sheffield United. When I am at home, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and cooking.
…about the car
I drive a Renault Grand Scenic, 1.9 dCI. The car is primarily used for ferrying the family around the local area, but we do some particularly long journeys getting to see our family. As a Squadron Leader in the RAF and we move around the country every 2 years, therefore it is important that we drive to see family and friends at weekends. Therefore we do about 10 to 12K every year, most of which is motorway, long distance driving. However, we also do a number of miles on local roads around the area on school runs and going to the gym.

…about the car
We own two cars, a 54 plate Renault Scenic and a 02 plate Ford Fiesta. I use the car to visit relatives in Southampton (240miles away) roughly once a month and travel to friends in Scotland during the snow season to go snowboarding. I'll be testing the Hydragrip Tyres with the Renault Scenic.
