On having my Audi A6 fitted with HydraGrip tyres, my initial impression was that they certainly looked the business - certainly a very good looking tyre. But appearances aside, I've been really impressed with the wet weather performance.
The past month or so has been extremely wet with the roads flooding. This tyre has however handled these conditions with ease, and this has been noted in situations where previously I may have aquaplaned.
On the tight sweeping bends that I drive on at least twice a day, I have seen a clear and distinct improvement. The cornering grip is truly excellent and it feels as though the car is on rails when taking tight bends - this can be felt in both wet and dry conditions.
I haven't yet noticed a difference in comfort levels nor in braking in normal, dry conditions, however, this may change over the next month as the tyres settle in.
